- Special Services for Pre-School and School-Age Children
Consist of parent consultation and staff training addressing the development and
behaviors of pre-school and school-age children. Children are assessed through classroom observations and interviews
with parents and teachers. Strategies to improve behavior are designed and implemented with support from parents
and teachers. These services are offered at the school site, and the information provided by the assessment
can be helpful in identifying areas where special attention could enhance the child's development and planning of the
child's education.
- Perinatal Mood Disorders Group and Individual Support
Service offered to women experiencing mood disorders during pregnancy or after
delivery. Issues addressed include transition into motherhood, recognizing limits and soliciting help, ways to handle
stress and disturbing thoughts and feelings, feelings of sadness and anxiety, loss of energy and fatigue, and how to cope
with all the changes.
